(Hong Kong, 19 January 2019) To promote the site safety culture and environmental awareness, Sun Fook Kong held the opening ceremony of “Sun Fook Kong Safety & Environmental Awards Scheme 2019” at Hong Kong Science Park on 19 January. Over 260 staff from Sun Fook Kong Project Management, Safety Department, Environment Department and subcontractors attended the event.
 
Mr. Patrick Lee, Managing Director of Construction and Civil Division said during his opening speech, “Safety and environmental protection are two of our major concerns. We have kept working together with our subcontractors to promote the site safety and to reduce the impacts to the environment.”
 
This year, 26 display boards from our project sites were exhibited with the theme of “Safety, Environmental Protection”. During the ceremony, the most popular site was voted for the display board best fit to the theme. It is hoped that Sun Fook Kong together with its subcontractors will take effort to achieve the common goal of mentioning safe, healthy and environmental-friendly construction sites.
 
Sun Fook Kong will continue to focus on “Safety, Environmental Protection” in the coming years, and also striving to strengthen the safety awareness among the workers as well as to improve their working environment while we do the best to reduce the impacts towards the environment.
