(Hong Kong, 12 Feb 2019) One of the Chinese traditions is to give red pocket money in Chinese Lunar New Year. However, there are many red pockets ended up in trash bin every year. Therefore, Greeners Action holds the “Red Pockets Reuse Action” each year to remind people of the environmental protection when having a great time during Chinese Lunar New Year. Sun Fook Kong continued to support this meaningful action and attended the kick-off ceremony on 12 Feb.
 
The purpose of the action is to encourage companies to use simple design, reduce the number of red pockets and urge people to recycle and reuse “new born red pockets”. Mr Wong Kam-sing, GBS, JP, Secretary for the Environment also encouraged people to deplete less resources, starting from using less red pockets in Chinese Lunar New Year.
 
Sun Fook Kong will continue to support all kinds of environmental activities held by different organizations in order to foster the awareness of our staff.
