(Hong Kong, 23 January 2013) Sun Fook Kong was honored with “The 2nd Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award” by The Mirror Magazine for two consecutive years in recognition of its commitment in corporate social responsibility. The award presentation ceremony was held on 23 January 2013 at Harbour Grand Hong Kong, and Mr. C.Y. Leung, the Chief Executive of HKSAR was one of the officiating guests of the event.

Organized by The Mirror Magazine, “The 2nd Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award” aims at establishing a platform to enhance the communication and experience sharing among big corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Its judging criteria include shareholder commitment, employee care, environmental protection, customer commitment, social concern and leadership. During the Award Presentation Ceremony, prizes were presented to different enterprises in appreciation of their consistent efforts in CSR promotion.

To support the local charities, Sun Fook Kong jointly organized volunteer services with Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and participated in Oxfam Trailwalkers 2012. To encourage its staffs to develop a healthy work-life balance, Sun Fook Kong organized the Occupational Health Basketball Competition. Apart from the “The 2nd Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility Award”, the Group had been awarded by different public and private organizations, including Development Bureau, Architectural Services Department, Labour Department and MTR Corporation Limited for its excellence performance in quality, safety and environmental protections.
