Sun Fook Kong Won a Merit Award in the 21st Considerate Contractors Site Award Schemearrow
(Hong Kong, 29 May 2015) In recognition of its outstanding performance in site management, safety and environmental protection of Hospital Authority Term Contract For Minor Works 2012 – Hong Kong East & West Clusters (Contract No.: HA-TMC022), Sun Fook Kong won a Merit Award under “the repairment, maintenance, alteration and addition works” category in the Award Presentation Ceremony that was held at Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre on 29 May 2015.

The Considerate Contractors Site Award Scheme which is co-organized by the Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council, aims to raise the awareness of safety on construction sites and promote good practices in site safety, health and environmental aspects. The scheme has received overwhelming support from the industry over the years with the number of participating projects increasing from 28 in the first year to 307 this year. The scheme has set several awards and the assessment was based on one’s site safety, law abiding, site management, environmental consciousness, being considerate to neighborhood and passers-by, care of workers and others.

Hospital Authority Term Contract For Minor Works 2012 – Hong Kong East & West Clusters (Contract No.: HA-TMC022) was commenced in October, 2012. The scope of works include the demolition, maintenance, repair, alteration, conversion, replacement, refurbishment, renovation, reinstatement, improvement and addition works for all the hospitals in Hong Kong East and West Clusters. In addition to the Merit Award, Mr. Tsang Kwong Hung, site worker of the company and Mr. Cheung Kwan Hing, site foreman of the company have won the Model Worker Award and the Model Frontline Supervisor Award respectively.

Sun Fook Kong will continue to enhance site safety, to raise the safety awareness among workers, and to take relevant measures to protect the environment with an aim to establish more considerate construction sites in future.
