(Hong Kong, 10 August 2015) Sun Fook Kong actively assisted The Hong Kong Registered Contractors Association in organizing the “Care for Workers’ Health” Seminar, with an aim to enhance health awareness among workers. The seminar was held at the HKTDC SME Centre of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 10 August 2015. Over 150 government and association representatives, management staffs and workers from different construction companies attended the event.

“Care for Workers’ Health” Seminar was co-organized by The Hong Kong Registered Contractors Association and Care For Your Heart. Moreover, there were more than 32 supporting organizations for the event, including the Development Bureau, the Occupational Safety & Health Council, the Transport and Housing Bureau, the Architectural Services Department, the Drainage Services Department and the Labour Department etc.

Ms. Lau Suet Ting, Cardiology Consultant of the Princess Margaret Hospital had been invited to be the guest speaker of the seminar. During the seminar, she had introduced the risk factors, the causes, the treatment and the prevention methods of the heart diseases. Besides, there was a question and answer section and the volunteers had led the guests to do simple health exercise.

In future, Sun Fook Kong will continue to join hands with the community in organizing different meaningful activities, so as to enhance the public awareness towards workers’ health and work safety.
