(Hong Kong, 28 Jan 2018)The Drainage Services Department (DSD) held Open Day at Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works on January 27 and 28. Under the theme "Clean up our water, prepare for the rainy day", this year’s open day aimed at enhancing the public's knowledge on the work undertaken by the DSD in flood prevention, sewage treatment and combating and mitigating climate change. Sun Fook Kong actively participated and set up a booth during the two-day event, to enhance the public's understanding on Sun Fook Kong through display and booth games.
The two-day event will also include stage performances, food trucks, game booths, a kids' fun area and a parent-child planting activity with over 20 trade partners participating in the event, and attracted a total of around 18,000 visitors. Sun Fook Kong’s booth was fairly popular, with people lining up to visit the display board and play the booth games.
Sun Fook Kong themed its booth with "Site Green Practices and Corporate Social Involvement" and mainly introduced a DSD project undertaken by Sun Fook Kong - the construction of main sewage pumping station of Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Works. Upon award-winning questions, the public got to know more about Sun Fook Kong’s contribution to environmental protection and social engagement.
In future, Sun Fook Kong will continue to actively participate in the activities organized by its partners and reinforce the cooperation and relationship with its partners and the community.
